Subsequently he moved to Siem Reap as a tour guide and thought of the idea of opening an Italian restaurant. He purposely chose to open the restaurant in the outskirts of the city as he did not want the enormous crowds filling the roads of the busy “Pub Street” in the centre of town.

He deliberately avoided the masses in order to fulfil his dream of opening an “Oasi” which would best combine his Italian dishes and the surrounding harmony and atmosphere.
